Rock 1
Type:flint
Large gray fint nodule. One of my faverate rocks types.

Rock 3
Type:Chert
Small black chert nodules. My other faverate rock type.

Rock 4
Type:Limestone W/ joints filled with calcite*.
Small chunk of weathered limestone with many joints filled with small white calcite veins. *Based on hardness

Rock 5
Type:Sandstone
Small chunk of sandstone with visible Strata. Has a small rusty iron spot on the side.

Rock 6
Type:???
This rock is a mystery to me.
Sandstone interior with what apears to be Tufa??? bound to the outside? This rock reacts to vinegar and can be easily broken in half.

Rock 7
Type:Conglomerate W/ fine sandstone matrix.
Unsorted Conglomerate with a fine sandstone matrix, clasts apeare to be partially weathered but still fairly angular. Clasts Range from as big as a thumb nail to tiny crumb size.

Rock 10
Type:Shale.
Large slab of shale with rusted sides, may contain enough iron to rust with time. Shale in the area is gray internaly and rusted exturnally.

Rock 11
Type:Breccia W/ sandstone matrix.
Partially angular breccia or conglomerate within a sandstone matrix. Clasts are mostly sngular with a few that are a little rounder. Clasts are the size of a thumb pad down to fine crumbs.

Rock 16
Type:Shale.
Another shale from the same formation. This one has better visibility of the rusty exteirior.

Rock 20
Type:Quartzite.
Large chunk of layered quartzite. Comes with a free colony of lychen. Contains a small thin chunks of a green mineral visible below the lychen.

Rock 9
Type:Weathered quartzite stone.
Small fist sized chunk of red/purple quartzite weathered by lake/stream water.

Type:Quartzite?
Im fairly sure this is a small pink piece of quartzite.

Rock 18
Type:Quartzite? with quartz minerals grown within.
Fist size chunk of rock with mineral quartz grown within the rock.

Rock 2
type: Quartzite?
Weathered quartzite with small mineral chunks grown inside.

Rock 8
type:Trachyte
Porpheritic Trachyte with large black minerals.

Rock 12
type:???
Mineral? found in tourmaline bearing pegmatites intruded into quartzite near Willard Peak in Utah. Xfq Quartzite member. Its most likely just a quartz adjacent rock but I need to test it more.

Rock 13
type:???
Quartz joint rock, surounded by a rock harder that steel. Maybe Quartzite? I am sourounded by quartz and quartzites... help.

Rock 14
type:???
Unknown mineral vein surounded by limestone. Mineral is softer than steel harder than finger nails, probably calcite.

Rock 17
type:???
Unknown rock type. Appears to be sedimentary, maybe shale? or some sort of silt stone, is kind of shiny and is softer than a quarter. Unknown location found.

Rock 19
type:???
Exact same as rock 12.

Welcome to the rock collections page, yes things aren't aligned and yes my spelling is bad. Ok so this is a page to document all of the rock that I collect I WILL be wrong about some identifications, this is mostly just for fun to be cool plz. :]
